What we do
Providing training courses for PRINCE2 6th Edition certifications.

The Project Management experts at 4KZ believe in the big aspirations, we not only help with an efficient implementation of PRINCE2 methodology, but we are also able to assist with your training solutions.

Proper use of PRINCE2 requires more than just training individuals across the organisation. To fully realise the benefits of PRINCE2, the organisation must adapt the methodology in a way that works best for the business. PRINCE2 should be interpreted, implemented and tailored to suit the organisation and project.

PRINCE2 training course would be useful for the project managers, project support personnel and any other middle level managers. It might also appeal to directors, executives and board members in order to be able to make informed decisions.

The training courses can be tailored to the needs of an organisation and directed either on a practical usage of the methodology or on assisting with the PRINCE2 Foundation and Practitioner examinations.

Embedding and tailoring PRINCE2 methodology for organisations.

4KZ has developed our own procedures and tools for a smooth and effective integration of the world renowned PRINCE2 project management framework into business processes of diverse organisations. Most organisations eventually come to a realisation that there is a need for an implementation of a controlled approach to project management. That is when 4KZ helps organisations to embed the PRINCE2 methodology which will ensure a greater control of resources and provide the ability to manage business and project risks more effectively.

Whether you're in the public or private sector 4KZ can offer a market-leading consultancy service to help you better understand your business needs. For example:

  • Improving your strategic best business practice
  • Compliance
  • Governance
  • Minimising risk within your organisation

Our dedicated team of experts will assess your organisation with a health check. We then provide key insight via a bespoke report. By doing this, we can help your company achieve better commercial results.

What we do
Portfolio Management Software.

We have developed our exclusive project portfolio management (PPM) software solution. It is a set of business practices and processes that help an organisation prioritise and align the work it preforms to its strategic objectives. Understanding your business goals and implementing the right processes to affect those areas is the key to 4KZ’s consulting.

It is designed to automate the process of managing the organisation's portfolio of projects and can be used by public or private organisations that have already or are planning to embed PRINCE2 methodology. The application acts as a single source of truth for collecting and analysing information about all the programmes and projects within an organisation. Based on this information it also generates reports for different levels of management.

The key features of the application software are following:
  • Approve the viable projects aligned to company strategy;
  • Track status;
  • Enable strategic planning and budgeting;
  • Manage risks, benefits and resources;
  • Categorise and prioritise projects;
  • Escalate the information to the necessary levels of the portfolio office

PRINCE2 (Projects IN Controlled Environments)

It is a generic project management methodology that can be tailored to different kinds of organisations, projects and environments. It is used in about 150 countries around the world which makes it the most popular project management method.

The benefits of PRINCE2 methodology:
  • Its flexibility which allows it to be used on projects of different sizes, budgets and from wide-range of industries;
  • Uses stage-gates and tolerances as its major elements of control. This facilitates managing by exception, e.g. only involve the required parties when necessary;
  • Prevents the ‘reinventing the wheel’ by using ‘lessons learned’ from the previous (similar) projects.

In today’s business environment, it is increasingly important to be able to adapt to change; programmes and projects are the delivery vehicle for introducing that organisational change. Hence, it is important for companies to achieve a balance between ‘business as usual’ and ‘business change’ and increasingly important to achieve operational effectiveness in a timely manner.

PRINCE2 defines Project as “a temporary organisation that is created for the purpose of delivering one or more business products according to an agreed Business Case”; and Business As Usual as “the way business normally achieves its objectives".

P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices) P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices)
P3O (Portfolio, Programme and Project Offices)

“The decision enabling and support business model for all business change within an organisation. This will include a single or multiple physical or virtual structures, i.e. offices (permanent and/or temporary), providing a mix of central and localised functions and services, and integration with governance arrangements and the wider business such as other corporate support functions”.

It is a business model that allows you to make decisions and to control all the business changes within an organisation. This model can take various forms and it provides the structure, governance, functions and services required for ensuring consistent delivery of programmes and projects across an organisation.

The benefits of the P3O model:
  • To make informed decisions on prioritisation, strategic and risk management, optimisation of resources (money, personnel, infrastructure);
  • Identification and realisation of benefits through programmes;
  • Successful delivery of project’s products that are fit for purpose.

The objective of P3O is to provide control and assistance with projects and programmes through a structured approach to implementation.

P3O guidance defines Portfolio as “the totality of an organisation’s investment (or segment thereof) in the changes required to achieve its strategic objectives”. While defining Programme as “a temporary, flexible organisation structure created to coordinate, direct and oversee the implementation of a set of related projects and activities in order to deliver outcomes and benefits related to the organisation’s strategic objectives. A programme is likely to have a life that spans a several years”.
